What was going on?

One of "1000 Great Places in Massachusetts!" The Salem Witch Museum is proud to be one of eleven sites in Salem to be recognized by Massachusetts' Great Places Initiative. The selection process generated enthusiasm "from thousands of residents across the Commonwealth," said Anita Walker, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The 1000 Great Places Initiative identified and recognized the 1000 most truly special places in the Commonwealth, celebrating pride in our history, culture and natural surroundings. More information about the Program and a complete list of the 1000 Great Places can be found on the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism website.
